Frequently asked questions

What is the grill made of?

It's made in Argentina from special refractory concrete with a textured finish, with a refractory floor, back and inner sides in the fire area, a precast concrete front, a steel plate separating the fire space, and an enameled grate and grease tray.

What is the fire space for?

It's a separate spot on the left side of the grill, divided by a steel plate, with a log holder. Burn firewood there and pull the embers under the grate as you need them, so the heat stays even while you cook. The crank for the grate is on the right side.

Can I use wood or charcoal?

Both. Keep the fire on the refractory floor or in the fire space, never on the grate, and keep the flames below the front lintel. The hood and chimney carry the smoke up and away.

Do I have to assemble it?

It ships on one pallet (64.2" x 40.9" x 33.5", 1,548 lb) as precast pieces with an installation kit, and is assembled on site. You can assemble it yourself, or hire us to assemble it: email info@firewoodoven.com for a quote.

How is it shipped?

Shipping isn't included in the price: email info@firewoodoven.com or use Request a Quote (/pages/sb-request-quote) for freight to your ZIP code, or pick it up at our Toa Baja warehouse.
