Sunmix Smart Line 60

The Sunmix SMART 60 is the largest spiral mixer in the Smart Line family — a touch-screen, inverter-driven workhorse built for pizzerias and restaurants with medium production. It handles up to 60 kg (132 lb) of dough per cycle while still mixing small batches cleanly, and the variable-speed inverter lets you dial in everything from a gentle autolyse to a final 300 rpm finish on high-hydration doughs.
Engineered in Schio, Italy by Sunmix. CE certified. Made for daily commercial use.
Touch-screen control panel
The integrated 7-inch touch panel lets the operator store up to 20 recipes × 6 steps each. Once a recipe is dialed in, the mixer reproduces it identically every time — eliminating operator-to-operator drift on dough quality. Useful when training new staff, running multiple shifts, or experimenting with different formulations.
Infrared dough temperature sensor
An infrared sensor reads the dough's surface temperature continuously during mixing, with no probe contact. Set a maximum temperature threshold and the mixer auto-stops when it's reached — protecting yeast activity on warm-kitchen days and giving you precise control over fermentation timing.
Variable speed inverter — 50 to 300 RPM
The single-phase motor runs through a frequency inverter, giving smooth, infinite speed adjustment from slow ingredient incorporation (50 rpm) to high-hydration finishing (300 rpm). The high end is intended for short bursts at the end of the mix on doughs above 60% hydration; the low end is ideal for biga, poolish, and gentle pre-doughs.
Reverse function
The bowl can rotate in reverse, which lets ingredients absorb together without active mixing. Standard practice for refreshing natural starter, hydrating biga, or letting a pre-dough autolyse before the main mix.
LED bowl lighting
Two LED lamps illuminate the inside of the bowl on demand. Lets the operator watch dough development through every stage — gluten window formation, hydration, finishing — without leaning over or using a torch.
Retractable wheels
Built-in retractable casters let one person move the 220 kg (485 lb) mixer for cleaning, then drop it back to its fixed footprint for operation. No need for a separate dolly.

How the SMART 60 fits the Smart Line family
The Smart Line ranges from 30 kg to 60 kg in dough capacity, each with identical features and progressively larger bowl + motor. Pick the SMART 60 if:
- You produce more than ~250 pizzas per shift (rule of thumb: 60 kg dough ≈ 250–300 typical Neapolitan dough balls at 230 g each).
- You'd rather run one large batch per service than break the day into multiple smaller mixes.
- You want headroom for catering peaks or growth without re-buying equipment in 12 months.
For lower volumes, the SMART 30 / 40 / 50 share the same touch-screen + infrared sensor feature set with smaller bowl + motor — let us know your typical batch size and we'll recommend the right size.
Ideal for
- Pizzerias with medium to high production volume.
- Bakeries running a single large daily mix.
- Operations doing high-hydration Neapolitan, contemporary, or Roman-style pizza dough (60–75% hydration).
- Catering operations and ghost-kitchen formats with concentrated mixing windows.

Frequently asked questions
How many ounces of dough can the Sunmix Smart 60 mix?
It mixes up to 2,116 oz of dough per batch (132 lb / 60 kg), or 1,058 oz of flour (66 lb / 30 kg), in an 81 L bowl. That's about 235 dough balls of 9 oz each.
What do the touch screen and infrared sensor do?
The touch panel stores up to 20 recipes with 12 steps each and has 2 timers, so every batch is mixed the same way. The infrared sensor lets you control dough temperature, and the speed variator runs from 50 to 300 rpm with reverse.
What motor and power does the Smart 60 need?
It has a 4 kW motor on 230V / 50–60 Hz single-phase power.
How big and heavy is the Sunmix Smart 60?
It measures 59 x 100 x 116 cm (23.2 x 39.4 x 45.7 in) and weighs 220 kg (485 lb), with retractable wheels and LED lights over the bowl.
How do I buy the Sunmix Smart 60 and how is it shipped?
